Established in 1993 and planted on land considered too hard, too dry and unfertile for wine production, Spy Valley has since become one of Marlborough's finest cool climate vineyards. Ten varieties of grapes cover 380 acres of vineyards. Hard stony alluvial floodplains, free draining lower terraces and loess covered hill slopes allow for each variety to be planted on a site perfectly suited to optimal growth.

From first vintage releases Spy Valley wines have been gaining international accolades with bright, clean, fruit driven aromatic white wines and complex, sophisticated reds.
